Currency Converter is provided by Entegrators. This policy explains how the Android app identified by package com.entegrators.currencyconverter handles information. The in-app Privacy Policy screen must remain consistent with this page.
1. Data we store on your device
- Selected currency codes
- The active amount you typed
- Theme and display preferences, decimal precision
- Home-screen widget currency pairs
- Cached exchange rates and the time they were fetched
Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes all of the above.
2. Product analytics and crash reporting
The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (both Google services) so we can understand which screens are opened and whether refreshes succeed, and receive crash reports so we can fix bugs.
Firebase generates an anonymous app-instance identifier and collects standard technical information such as device model, OS version, language, country, session start, and screen name. Crashlytics collects stack traces, sanitized cause classes, and coarse device metadata.
The app does not send the currency amounts you type, the currency pairs you view, any other user-entered text, or your location to Firebase.
Firebase data is processed by Google under Google's terms and privacy practices. See Firebase privacy and security.
Uninstalling the app resets the Firebase identifiers.
3. Exchange-rate service
To display rates, the app requests data over HTTPS from open.er-api.com. The request contains the currency code the app is using as its rate base. Like any internet request, the rate provider receives standard technical information such as IP address, request timestamp, and User-Agent, governed by that provider's policies.
4. Permissions
- INTERNET — retrieve exchange rates.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — check connectivity before requesting rates.
5. Data we do not collect
No account creation, sign-in, or authentication. No advertising SDK. No behavioural profile. No access to location, contacts, camera, microphone, files, health data, payment credentials, or SMS.
7. Retention and deletion
- Local data — until you uninstall or clear storage.
- Analytics — retained for the period configured in the Firebase console; after that Google aggregates and discards event-level data.
- Crashlytics — retained under Google's Crashlytics retention.
To request deletion of Firebase data associated with your device's anonymous identifier, email support@entegrators.com with the approximate installation date and device model.
8. Security
The app relies on Android's private app-storage sandbox and on HTTPS for network communication. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Children
The app is not directed to children and is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme.
10. Changes
This policy may be updated when features, SDKs, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
