About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Entegrators handles information in Edite version 0.1.2 (code 3), an Android photo editor identified by package com.edite.app. This release has no user accounts, subscriptions, or in-app purchases. For privacy questions, contact support@entegrators.com.

Edite stores and edits your photos and projects on your device. This policy does not claim that all app data stays on your device: the Google ML Kit component used by Edite can communicate with Google, and if you opt in to usage analytics, Google Analytics for Firebase communicates with Google. This release displays no advertising.

Photos and local projects

You choose images or files to import, or take a photo using the in-app camera. Edite keeps app-private copies of imported source images, project metadata, and edit-operation history on your device. Project records are stored in a local Room database.

The editor does not upload photos or projects to an Entegrators server. Edite does not sell your photos, share them with advertisers, upload them for AI training, or store them on Entegrators servers.

Camera, photos, and storage permissions

Camera access supports capture you initiate. Photo and media access supports browsing and importing images from your device. Edite also uses Android system photo and file pickers; it does not rely exclusively on the system picker.

On older Android versions, legacy storage access is limited to importing and exporting images. You can review, grant, or revoke permissions in Android Settings. Features that need a permission may be unavailable if you decline it.

Editing, Google ML Kit, and exports

Photo editing and Google ML Kit subject segmentation process image inputs and outputs on your device. ML Kit does not send those images to Google for processing. ML Kit or Google Play services may download required processing components.

Separately, ML Kit sends information to Google over HTTPS for diagnostics and usage analytics. Under Google’s ML Kit disclosures this can include device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, and app package name and version), device or installation identifiers, technical performance metrics such as latency, API configuration and input/output sizes, feature events, and error codes. It does not consist of your photos.

This ML Kit telemetry is part of the Google SDK and is separate from Edite’s optional Firebase Analytics integration. It is not controlled by the Usage analytics switch, and Edite has no setting to turn it off. Google handles this data under its own policies, and Entegrators does not control its retention or deletion. See Google’s ML Kit data disclosure, ML Kit terms, and Privacy Policy.

At your request, Edite saves exported images to your device’s Pictures collection. Exported copies remain under your control, including where you subsequently store or share them.

Optional usage analytics

Edite 0.1.2 includes Google Analytics for Firebase, but it is off by default. Collection starts only after you turn on Settings → Privacy → Usage analytics. This switch is separate from, and works independently of, any advertising consent. The choice is not restored from exported backups.

When enabled, Analytics can process app-instance identifiers, device and app information, IP-derived approximate location, sessions, engagement, and fixed screen names, which Entegrators uses to understand how the app is used. Edite’s custom screen events exclude route arguments, photos, file paths, filenames, search text, project IDs and titles, album names, and edit contents. This data is not described as anonymous.

Analytics advertising-ID collection is disabled, and Analytics ad storage, ad-user-data, and ad-personalization consent remain denied.

You can turn the switch off at any time. Doing so stops future Analytics collection by the app and resets Analytics data stored locally on your device. It does not immediately erase information Google already holds. Clearing app data also resets the choice to off. See Google’s Analytics data-collection configuration and Analytics data-practices information.

Edite does not include Firebase Crashlytics.

Locally stored preferences

Android DataStore holds language, theme, keep-screen-on, image export options, watermark options, onboarding state, local launch and rating timing, and ad-rollout timing. These preferences support the app’s appearance, editing workflow, and release behavior. They remain on your device, other than within a backup file you choose to create.

User-created backups

Edite disables Android automatic cloud backup and app-private device transfer. You can explicitly create or restore an .edite-backup.zip file through Android’s document picker.

A backup may contain preferences, project metadata, editing operations, and imported source images. You choose where the file is saved, which may include a storage provider you use. That provider handles files under its own terms and privacy practices. Protect backup files and share them only with people or services you trust.

Advertising is disabled in this release

Edite 0.1.2 (code 3) displays no ads, makes no app-initiated ad requests, and does not start the Google AdMob consent flow. Advertising code remains packaged in the app for possible future development, but the release build switch is off, ad unit fields are empty, and automatic Mobile Ads startup and the advertising-ID and ad-services permissions are removed from the release manifest. We do not claim that the advertising SDK has been entirely removed from the app.

Enabling ads would require a later app update; changes in an AdMob account alone cannot enable ads in this build. Because this release does not activate advertising, nothing in this policy describes current AdMob data collection.

Possible future advertising

A future version of Edite may use Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent and privacy choices. These are possible future-release services, not services active in version 0.1.2. We will review and update this policy before enabling them.

For reference, Google describes advertising services as capable of processing identifiers, IP-derived location, interactions, diagnostics, and consent choices. See the Google Mobile Ads SDK disclosure guidance, AdMob privacy guidance, and Google’s advertising technologies information and controls.

Privacy choices

This release does not display an ad-consent form. The controls available to you now are the Usage analytics switch, Android’s permission settings, and the data-removal options described below. A prepared Settings privacy-choices action for advertising would appear only in a future ads-enabled build where UMP requires it.

To ask a privacy question or make a privacy request about Edite, contact support@entegrators.com. Entegrators does not hold your photos or an account for you, so requests about Google-managed information are generally handled with Google.

Retention and deletion

App-owned projects and settings are retained locally until you remove them through Edite’s settings, clear app storage using Android’s app-data controls, or uninstall Edite. Menu names vary by device; Android typically provides Settings → Apps → Edite → Storage & cache → Clear storage.

Clearing local app data does not automatically delete exported images or user-created backup files. Delete those separately from the Pictures collection, your file manager, or whichever storage provider you selected.

Google-managed ML Kit diagnostic and usage data, and any Analytics data you opted in to, are handled under Google’s policies. Clearing local projects does not directly erase them, and Entegrators does not promise a remote deletion mechanism for them. See the Google Privacy Policy. There is no account-deletion workflow because Edite has no accounts.

Security and audience

Edite uses Android app-private storage for its local copies and project records. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the app, but no device, storage system, or network transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and user-created backups.

Edite is a general-purpose photo editor and is not marketed as a children’s app. If you have a concern about a child’s information, contact us so we can review it.

Policy changes and third-party links

We may update this policy when Edite’s features, service providers, or relevant requirements change, including before any advertising is enabled. We will publish the revised policy at this URL and update its date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.

External links open services operated by other organizations, such as the Google Privacy Policy. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit or use them.
