Using Speede
Speede is a general-audience internet measurement utility. These terms govern your use of the app, subject to rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Use the app only on devices and networks you own or are authorized to test, and comply with network rules and applicable law.
Network traffic and cost
Speed tests transmit and receive generated data and can consume substantial bandwidth, mobile-data allowance, battery and network capacity. Your carrier or provider may charge you. You are responsible for checking your allowance and choosing an appropriate connection. Tests are user-initiated and may be cancelled.
Results and availability
Results are estimates of performance between your device and a selected test server at a particular time. Wi-Fi quality, mobile signal, congestion, VPNs, device performance, server load and routing can affect results. A result is not a guarantee of your service plan's speed, a certification, or a promise that a provider will accept it as evidence. Servers and third-party services may be unavailable or change without notice.
Third-party services and public research
Speede uses Cloudflare, IPinfo and M-Lab as described in its Privacy Policy. Their services have their own terms and privacy policies. M-Lab tests, including tests selected by Automatic, submit public IP addresses and measurement records to M-Lab's indefinitely retained public research dataset. Read the in-app notice and Privacy Policy before testing. Choose Cloudflare before running a test if you do not want test results submitted to M-Lab. Nearby-server discovery may still contact M-Lab's locate service.
Your responsibilities
Do not use Speede to attack networks, overwhelm servers, evade service restrictions, or interfere with other users. Do not automate abusive repeated tests. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use the app for lawful personal or business network measurement. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
No account, purchases or ads
The first production release requires no account, has no in-app purchases or subscriptions, and contains no advertisements. Features and supported services may change in future versions. Material data-practice changes will be reflected in updated disclosures.
Warranty and liability
We aim to provide a useful app, but it is offered as available without a promise of uninterrupted service or error-free measurements. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Entegrators is not responsible for carrier charges, loss caused by reliance on measurement estimates, third-party outages, or indirect losses. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer protections or liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending use, updates and contact
You can stop using and uninstall Speede at any time. Local settings can be removed by clearing app storage; this does not erase third-party or already-public M-Lab records.
