About Word2PDF
Entegrators publishes Word2PDF, an Android app that converts Word (.docx) documents into PDF files on your device. This policy covers version 1.0.0 (version code 1), package com.entegrators.wordtopdf.
Word2PDF has no user accounts, sign-in, subscriptions, payments, or in-app purchases. Contact support@entegrators.com for privacy questions or requests.
Documents and on-device conversion
Word2PDF opens a document only when you select it through Android’s file picker, open it with Word2PDF from another app, or share it to Word2PDF. It reads the .docx and converts it to PDF entirely on your device.
The app does not upload document contents, generated PDFs, or file names to Entegrators, Google, or anyone else, and never includes them in analytics. Android device backup and files you choose to give to another app are separate device features described below.
Information stored on your device
In Android private app storage, Word2PDF keeps converted PDFs, a private copy of each converted .docx so you can convert it again, and conversion history containing file names, sizes, page counts, and dates.
It also stores settings for page size, orientation, compression, watermark, theme, Save to Files app, and your usage-analytics choice. A temporary copy created during conversion is deleted when the conversion ends.
Save to Files app
Save to Files app is enabled by default. When enabled, each PDF is also saved to the device’s Downloads/Word2PDF folder, where other apps can see it.
These copies belong to you. Clearing conversion history or uninstalling Word2PDF does not remove them. Manage or delete them separately through your device’s file manager.
Optional usage analytics
Google Analytics for Firebase is the only Firebase product included and the only reason Word2PDF uses the internet. Analytics is off by default. On first launch, the app asks “Help improve Word2PDF?” with Allow and No thanks choices. Nothing is collected by Analytics unless you allow it. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Usage analytics.
If allowed, Google Analytics for Firebase can process an app-instance identifier; device and app information such as model, operating-system version, language, and app version; country/region-level approximate location derived from an IP address; and sessions and engagement.
Word2PDF’s own events are limited to screen names and feature usage:
- Conversion started, completed, or failed, with page count and a general error category where applicable.
- Conversion cancelled; PDF opened, shared, or deleted; and history cleared.
- Settings changed, recording option values only, such as A4 or Landscape.
Events never contain document contents, file names, PDF names, or any text you type. Advertising ID is not collected. Analytics ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are always denied.
We use this optional usage information to understand the app’s features and improve Word2PDF. Google processes it as the analytics provider. Analytics traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
Turning Usage analytics off stops future collection and resets locally stored Analytics data. It does not immediately erase information Google has already received. Google retains that information under the applicable Analytics retention settings and its policies.
Read the Google Privacy Policy, Firebase privacy information, Analytics collection and consent controls, and Google Analytics data disclosures.
No advertising
This release displays no advertisements and includes no advertising SDK.
Permissions and file access
The app declares internet access and network state, together with wake-lock and Google Play install-referrer permissions added automatically by the Google Analytics for Firebase SDK. These serve only the optional usage analytics. No Advertising ID permission is declared.
Word2PDF does not request storage, camera, microphone, location, contacts, or phone permissions. It reaches files through the system file picker or when another app hands a single file to Word2PDF.
Android device backup
If Android device backup is enabled, Android may include Word2PDF app data in your device backup associated with your Google account. This can include settings and the analytics choice, conversion history, converted PDFs, and retained .docx copies.
This device-level backup is governed by Google’s terms and policies and is distinct from Word2PDF’s on-device conversion and optional Analytics events. Manage it through your phone’s backup settings.
Retention and deletion
Local information stays on your device until you remove it. Delete removes a single conversion and its files. Settings → Clear conversion history removes all conversions and their privately stored files. Clearing the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstalling removes everything stored privately by Word2PDF.
These actions do not delete copies in Downloads/Word2PDF, files held by another app you selected, or Android-managed device backups. Manage those separately through the file manager, selected app, or phone backup settings.
You can turn analytics off at any time. To request deletion of analytics associated with your app instance, email support@entegrators.com. Provide the app name, app version, and any app-instance identifier or diagnostic reference already available to you; do not send documents, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information.
If enough information is available to identify the relevant app instance, Entegrators can use Google Analytics user-deletion tools to request deletion. Because there are no accounts, an email address alone may not identify your app instance. Deletion follows Google’s processes and applicable retention settings; we do not promise instant or guaranteed erasure. There is no account to delete.
Children’s privacy
Word2PDF is a general-purpose document tool and is not directed at children. Entegrators does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you have a concern so we can review it.
Security
Documents and PDFs held privately by Word2PDF use Android app-private storage protections, and analytics traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Downloads copies and device backups have the protections of their respective destinations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no device, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed perfectly secure.
Policy changes
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. We will publish the revised policy at this URL with an updated effective/revision date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
